Quick trip but very enjoyable. Well organized.

The Grand Canyon visit was amazing. We travelled by helicopter and boat through the canyon and it was breathtaking. I would definitely suggest that you do the skywalk, too. It really is a once in a life time opportunity, so you might as well explore the canyon properly. There was only one let down of the day. We were flown by helicopter to the river basin where we enjoyed a short river ride. We then had to wait for ages in the heat for another helicopter to come and pick us up. It must have been about a 40 minute wait, which is quite a while when it so hot. Visiting the Grand Canyon was the highlight of my whole holiday and I have already recommended the trip to family and friends. I know its a bit more money, but you really have to travel by helicopter and boat to really explore the Grand Canyon in style! Despite the time issues, I would do the same trip again. We give this tour 5 stars all the way!

The experience was fantastic! Would recommend this trip for everyone. However, I did not like having to carry around a box lunch. It was a bit rushed toward the end.

Having read the reviews I was worried about this trip but I had no reason to be.
Did this on Saturday 25th October 2008 and I have to say it was awesome, yes it's a lot of money but it was well worth it.
We did the early trip so although it is marked 7:15am, the pickup at the Bellagio where we were staying was 5:20am. Be warned as it means an early morning.
We were driven to the little airport in LV north and here we benefited from the fact that we were on an early trip and that it was a weekend so the place was virtually empty apart from a Japanese tour group who left on a different plane than us. Check in for the flight took 5 mins. Yes, we were given a packed lunch rather than the BBQ but that made sense since we were on a tour in the morning (it shouldn't say BBQ on the website though, that would be misrepresentation and therefore illegal in the UK).
The flight was great, left a couple of minutes early before the planned 7:15am. Myself, my wife and 3 other people on a 12 seater with decent commentary and a great view of the Hoover Dam. The pilot was very pleasant, the flight was about 45 mins.
We were met by the rep in the Canyon (he flew out with us on the plane actually) and he explained what to do, where to go, and what time to be back.
We had at least 45 mins on the Skywalk (which we had passes included) and this was absolutely amazing and again, we were virtually the only ones on it. The sun was out and although it was 8am, it was nice and warm. Bought some photos, a little pricey but ultimately our decision (since we spent a fair bit of money getting out to LV just for 4 days), but for an extra 20 bucks they gave me all the originals (12 photos) on a memory stick plus some pro ones done at dawn and dusk which were cool.
Then we went to a fantastic lookout point for lunch (at 9:30am). We had plenty of time for photos, maybe another 30 mins might have been nice but it was fine.
Then back to the airport for a helicopter trip onto the canyon floor. A fab way to see the canyon. We had a great 30 minute river boat trip on the Colorado River after this and the guide on the boat was knowledgeable, funny, informative, pleasant and even took some nice photos of us.
Back up in the chopper and the pilot really made an effort in this little 10 minute trip to tilt the chopper so we could see into the Canyon.
We then got on the plane, had a much shorter (25 minute) flight back to Vegas, great views of the strip and then we were whisked straight away back to our hotel. Got back at about 13:30pm ready for the pool.
All in all, if you want to do an early start (easier for us as we were still on UK time) see most things and then get back in time for an afternoon and evening in Vegas then this is the trip for you. If you need more time, you can stay in the Canyon for an extra night.
Thanks for a memorable trip. It was the major reason we traveled to Vegas for the long weekend.
Major tips, get up early, do the morning 7:15am trip especially when it is hot in the summer. Also, do it on a Saturday and it will be very uncrowded (there was a point where the only people on the skywalk bridge were myself, my wife and a photographer).

Great day. The advertised Indian Tribe lunch appeared to turn into a box lunch on the plane but nevertheless, highly recommended.
