Grand Canyon Colorado River White Water Rafting One-Day Adventure with Helicopter Ascent (Raft)

Description

Let us pick you up at Downtown Las Vegas & Strip hotels onboard our air-conditioned motor coach or minibus. Leave Las Vegas behind and head south towards the Grand Canyon!

We'll cross over the Hoover Dam before continuing on to Kingman, Arizona. After driving down historic Route 66, we'll check in with our river raft guides.

Then, hop onboard the tribal bus for a scenic, though bumpy, 17-mile drive down to the river on the only road into the Grand Canyon. At the river, put on your life jacket, put your camera in the watertight camera box & listen to the safety instructions.

Then, get ready as we hop onboard an inflatable, motor-powered raft & hit our first rapids just seconds from pushing off! You will get wet! Raft 40 miles through Class 3 & 4 (out of 6) rapids for about 5.5 hours!

When your raft trip ends, you'll still be in the depths of the Grand Canyon. Our jet helicopter picks you up near the river. Then, climbs among spectacular 4,000-foot cliffs from the river to the tribe's modern airport at the Grand Canyon West Rim (7 minutes approximately).

From the air terminal, return on a relaxing, comfortable journey (2.5 hours approximately) to Las Vegas!

I highly recommend this trip. It was a great experience the entire time. My husband and I are in our 50s and were not the least bit uncomfortable. If there was a 5 star rating, I would give it a 6! The guides were very knowledgeable and fun. Thanks for the great time!

The trip was excellent and worth the money. When you go on some excursions you have one good rapid and the rest are so-so. This was not the case on this adventure. We had many rapids that were outstanding and the rest were better than average. The only thing that could be improved is that we have no pictures of the day on the river. We did not bring a camera because you are always getting wet while going through the rapids. Our tour picked us up from the airport so we didn't go back to the lodge with the rest of the tour group. A guide in one of the other boats did take some pictures but as of now I have called the lodge and talk to them twice and they have not been able or willing to get me in contact with the other guide to see if I could purchase some pictures.

This was a birthday present for my husband, and we had the time of our lives. There is nothing like the rush of class 7 rapids, the hot sun beating down on you and the icy water pounding you. Even the last few miles of the river where it is relatively calm, you get to enjoy some breathtaking scenery. Overall it was worth the money and I would recommend it. We think we may have to do it again!

My wife and I were celebrating 33-years of marriage and had a great experience with all phases of this trip. All of the staff, from the van drivers, our river guides and the helicopter people were helpful and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience white water rafting down the Colorado River and be in awe of the sheer beauty of the Grand Canyon. Thank you!

My brother was a doorman and hosted people down the canyon until his untimely death three years ago at the age of 51. His wife also rowed the canyon and died the year before at the age of 44. It was most unusual that two died so young. It was always my dream to go down the canyon. This trip provided me one of the most meaningful memories of my life. I plan to do this again!

Our guide was great, he was knowledgeable and friendly and really made sure we experienced the rapids. The lunch is the only part of the trip that needs a lot of improvement.

This was the best part of our trip to Las Vegas. The rafting was amazing however, be sure to bring a water proof coat because you get completely soaked and the water can be very cold. The views of the Grand Canyon were beautiful however, the tour would have been better with more rapids involved as most of the time was spent cruising down the river after the rapids were finished. Overall, it was the best experience ever!
