Red Rock Canyon Sunset BBQ and Horseback Ride (Horseback Riding)

Description

Enjoy the real West! Ride for approximately 90 minutes on horseback with a guide along trails like the ones cowboys rode a hundred years ago. Set your eyes on the dramatic and colorful walls of Red Rock Canyon, as well as deep gorges from high atop a desert mountain.

Stop as the sun begins its daily descent, and you'll see the lights of the Las Vegas Valley far below. Then, it's back to camp beneath the moon and stars, guided by the light of the campfire, for a freshly prepared BBQ Dinner.

Select your choice of a 16 oz. New York Strip Steak (cooked to your preference), Grilled Chicken or Grilled Salmon and indicate your preference in the field provided.

Your dinner will be served with crisp green salad with dressing, baked beans, baked potato (served with butter), corn on the cob, beverages (Soft Drinks and Water) and toasted marshmallows and Cowboy S'mores for dessert! Cowboy S'mores are marshmallows sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies. They taste best when served at night around the campfire.

Enjoy live entertainment, cowboy poetry and country western singing, before we return you to your departure location.

Prefer to take in the views from inside an air-conditioned tour bus? While some folks in the group love horses, you may prefer to maintain your tenderfoot status. Our optional scenic and informative guided bus tour stops at the Red Rock Visitor Center. We then make the 13-mile scenic loop drive by bus, enabling you to stay cool and capture spectacular views! Enjoy a photostops along the way. Meet up with the rest of your group when the horseback riding tour is over. For the "TENDERFOOT" option Click Here.

From the time we got picked up at the hotel to being dropped off at our hotel, we had smiles on our faces! The area where we met our wranglers and horses was classic cowboy style and most importantly clean and well maintained! The wranglers always made sure that we were okay and comfortable. I felt well taken care of. All the wranglers were very friendly and easy going. The horses all had good manners and looked healthy and happy. The dinner was very good! Way more food on my plate than I could eat! We were going to sign up that night for another ride the next day, but decided to make it our new thing to go horseback riding when we are in Vegas again. We go to Vegas a few times a year and just discovered this new hobby on this trip! What a fun way to get off the strip and see the Red Rock area! Would highly recommend!

What a great time we had. From the first moment to the last, the experience was fantastic. You're driven into the middle of nowhere - yet only 30 minutes from Vegas. From there the experience is one you'll never forget. The horses - all have their own personalties - are well groomed and certainly well looked after. My horse - called Chief - was clearly into grazing and took every opportunity to wander to any nearby bush - sometimes cactus - to have a nibble. You gently meander with the horses for 30 minutes or so until eventually you reach the summit of the canyon and then - look down in awe at the lights of Vegas in the distance. The timing was immaculate - just reaching the summit at sunset. Then back for the biggest and most delicious steak you have ever tasted - believe it or not the meal was very good. Don't hesitate - if you want a different Vegas experience - and we've been to both the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley - then get yourselves on this trip. Unbelieveable!

My husband and I had an amazing trip! Guide was wonderful! She was super friendly from the second we got into the van until late that evening when she dropped us off. The wranglers were very knowledgeable about the horses and the surrounding area. Dinner that evening was awesome! We had a great group that enjoyed a pleasant evening outside the city. We would definitely recommend this tour to any of our friends and family and can't wait to get back to Vegas and do riding again!

I have been to Vegas twice and was by far one of my favourite tours! The horses were beautiful, staff rocks and it was amazing.

The best thing we did while visiting Las Vegas. For me it was a childhood dream come true. I always wanted to be a cowboy. It took a little more convincing for my wife, but she too now admits that it was awesome. The scenery and the sunset in Red Rock Canyon takes your breath away. Our wranglers and cook were very friendly and patient with us wannabe cowboys. The steaks were cooked to order and everything tasted great, but the best part about the meal was that everyone sat down together to break bread. We told stories, joked and laughed and enjoyed a great meal together. Our group was small and intimate, and everyone got to know each other. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. The weather, the food, the company, the beautiful canyon and gorgeous sunset, the friendly and courteous staff and, of course, our horses (Scooter and Fancy) all made this a most memorable evening for us. You gotta do this folks!
